How does home insurance work in France ?

Building

Your house or apartment as real estate is covered without financial limit.

You will receive compensation to cover the damage and benefits from unlimited cover to rebuild the building if necessary (eg after a major destructive fire) And a 24-hour emergency helpline is available if you need help in a hurry.

According to the number of rooms of the house, contents are covered for a fixed maximum amount.

Your personal possessions, furniture, electric or electronic items, multimedia equipment (computer, laptops , ...) and jewelry or precious objects are insured.

Civil liability - Private life

You, your family and your pets are insured against damage to third parties.
